ABOUT ERIN
Fine and rare wine specialist with over 16 years of experience across on- and off-premise account sales, retail, e-commerce, wine service, wine buying, and fine collection appraisals. Talented fine wine appraiser with hundreds of valuations and appraisals created to date, varying in size from $2,000 to $6m+ for auction consignment, fair market value and insurance purposes. Excellent price history memory and fluency in fine and rare wine vintages and market trends, with tasting exposure to all of the greatest producers and vintages multiple times over, including participating in Bordeaux Primeurs for the 2016 and 2017 vintages. I'm a dedicated business-getter and salesperson at heart, having procured over $4m in new consignments as Director of Wine USA at Bonhams, with the majority resulting from fresh business leads. I was also the first woman to ever lead the Bonhams US Wine venue. I've been interviewed for multiple media outlets including Mansion Global.
My current role is part of the Aspect Fine Wine division of Breakthru Beverage California, overseeing account development in the San Francisco fine dining universe. I hold the WSET Advanced Level 3 certificate with Distinction and am continuing to pursue more specialized certifications.
My "ah-ha!" moment arrived in March of 2014, during my time as Specialist with Heritage Auctions in Los Angeles. At a promotional dinner event we created for top clients, focusing on the esteemed private collection of an East Coast gentleman, we opened the evening with a side-by-side of 1971 Dom Pérignon and 1971 Dom Ruinart. The glass of Ruinart has never left my mind and is still the finest wine I've had to date. It was clear I'd chosen the right industry for my longterm career goals, hopefully one day expanding to international wine markets.
Outside of the wine industry, I'm an athlete across quad roller skating (with aspirations to jam skating) and running with multiple half-marathons under my belt. I consider myself a dedicated student of life - constantly reading books on a wide range of subjects from history to finance, experimenting in the kitchen to enhance my palate and cooking skills, and expanding my worldview through travel.
